Should You Interview for a Job You’re Not Interested in?

If you’re not excited about the possibility of the position before the interview even happens, don’t waste your time or the interviewer’s time. It’s pretty obvious to the interviewer when you’re not fully interested. And guess who they don’t want to hire? Someone who doesn’t want the job, that’s who.

Of course there is the exception of people who need to find work; not all of us have the luxury of waiting for the right job to come around. If this is the case, remember why you’re interviewing for the position, and then consider all of the things you would like about working there. The commute is great. You get to use your college degree. There is room for movement. It will provide great experience for my resume. Fake it ‘til you make it.
