Is It Okay to Leave Work Early on Fridays if My Manager Does?

Of course the only way to know if it’s a-okay to leave early is to ask your manager. If you’re hesitant to breach the subject just yet, find out why your manager is leaving and use it as a gauge. A doctor’s appointment or parental obligation, like attending a soccer game, is hardly the same as getting a head-start on happy hour.
If and when you get the go ahead, remember that if you have work to finish, you’re certainly a no-go; leaving early is a privilege. And if there are any times you feel like you have to sneak out, it’s best to hang back
