What to Bring to the Interview

For your commute there, have your contact’s phone number, preferably written down on a piece of paper, and printed driving directions. While you’d like to be able to rely on your GPS, technology fails sometimes and drops you off at a tree.
And bring a snack with you to eat in the car—few things are harder than trying to impress while you’re hungry. Have mints and a water bottle handy.
For the interview-portion, have multiple copies of your resume, a notepad and nice pen (not one you s̶t̶o̶l̶e̶ borrowed from the bank), and examples of your work if necessary. During your interview, keep your phone away and your ringer off. And if you’re going to bring business cards, make sure they’re not the ones you have for your current company.
If you’re traveling far for the interview, bring a backup outfit in case something spills or you happen to burn your shirt while ironing it in a hotel room…not that it has ever happened...
Here’s a quick list for your reference if you lost track:
Contacts’ phone numbers
Copies of resume
Water
Mints
Snack
Notepad and nice pen (leather portfolio)
Examples of work, if necessary
An extra outfit, if traveling
Personal business cards, optional
